The double stainless steel thermally insulated dome provides fast heat while being extremely economical. The insulation also ensures that the oven retains heat for longer periods with slow cooling. This is a particularly useful feature when using your Nonno Peppe wood-fired oven to cook food at low temperatures for extended periods.
Unlike ovens made of clay and various refractory materials, our 100% stainless steel construction is NOT prone to cracking, which invariably affects the performance of other ovens. Its hammered copper finish will remain beautiful for years.
The Base of The Nonno Peppe Oven
The solid slab base of the Allegro Nonno Peppe oven is handcrafted from terracotta bricks made from carefully selected clays and volcanic lava sand. Each terracotta brick has a thickness of 40 mm and reaches its optimal cooking temperature in about 30 minutes. Although smaller than the Allegro XXL, the Forno Allegro Nonno Peppe has an impressive cooking surface of 60 cm x 60 cm.
